Is CopBlock.Org A Terrorist Group?

One of the many claims made by police and their most mindless supporters on the web and especially in social media is that CopBlock.Org is a terrorist group. Is there any truth to these accusations? To find out, lets get a definition of terrorism and see how CopBlock rates as a terrorist organization compared to how our law enforcement agencies do.

The following is the legal definition of ‘terrorism’ per the FBI, from their website:

definition of terrorism

  1. Involve violent acts or dangerous acts that violate federal or state law.’
The CopBlock Organization has never once committed a violent or dangerous act that violates state or federal laws. Meanwhile, many individual law enforcement officers and agencies have been clearly demonstrated as having done so numerous times throughout history, as well as recently, with incredibly high frequency..

  2. Is calculated to influence or affect the conduct of government by intimidation or coercion, or to retaliate against government conduct.’
If you were to twist this to fit CopBlock.org, you would necessarily have to fit it to include nearly every other journalist everywhere. And that last part seems like a pretty strong statement against our supposed ‘democracy’. However, although we try to influence the conduct of government every single day, on behalf of all free citizens, we cannot be said to be using intimidation or coercion. Since government and its agencies use aggression and force to achieve their ends, peacefully reporting on their misconduct and illegal activity could in no way be considered intimidation or coercion. There is simply too great of an inequality of power for us to be able to do so. As far as retaliating against government conduct, it is unreasonable to misconstrue an exercise of our guaranteed rights as retaliation. We are reporting and editorializing, but in no way can we directly affect the police. That can only be done by the will of the majority, which is why we work very hard to awaken them to the problem.
On the other hand, the petty squabbles between enforcement agencies does often attempt to influence or affect the conduct of government by intimidation or coercion. Police also make repeated attempts to retaliate against the government. A clear example of this are police unions, who attempt to affect government policy through repeated attempts to use their collective power to influence and affect through intimidation or coercion.

  3. ‘Is a violation of one of several listed statutes, including § 930(c) (relating to killing or attempted killing during an attack on a federal facility with a dangerous weapon); and § 1114 (relating to killing or attempted killing of officers and employees of the U.S.).’
Does this also include other statutes, and if so, which ones? Is this needlessly vague in order that any legal statute can be inserted for convenience of using terrorism laws to terrorize civilians? Assuming it only includes the two above, CopBlock nor its members have never desired to, attempted nor committed any of these acts.
However there have been acts of violence committed by government employees against government employees on numerous occasions, some even involving death. Consider the renegade cops or soldiers who kill their colleagues.

I think it is pretty clear who the terrorists are here. If you expanded the comparison beyond police to other government agencies and activities at home and abroad you would find that, by their own laws and definitions, the US Government is itself one of the most powerful and out-of-control terrorists organizations in the world. While CopBlock.Org has no desire or intention to commit any of the stated acts, nor to encourage others to do so.

So next time some LEO, copsucker or random troll tells you that WE are a terrorist organization, show them this article. But be careful, these types hate facts and may resort to terrorism in order retaliate against your use of them. This is most often because they fallaciously think, as do toddlers, sociopaths and psychos, that Might Makes Right. The world that the CopBlock Organization envisions is one in which Right Makes Might, meaning that it should be voluntary consent to morals, ethics, values and social law that creates a framework for cooperation, and not the threat of violence, as exercised by terrorists the world over.
